Administration for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities

The Administration for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities shall perform expert tasks related to the following:

-          affirming and developing freedom of religion;

-         cooperation between the State and churches and religious communities and improving their status in the society;

-         affirming the fundamentals of religion and content of the Serbian national identity;

-          providing assistance in the protection of religious components in the cultural and ethnic identity of national minorities;

-          religious pilgrimage trips, pilgrimages and other forms of religious tourism;

-          cooperation of the State with the Eparchies of the Serbian Orthodox Church abroad;

-          developing and affirming the values of the religious culture;

-          support to the development of religious education and assistance in its inclusion in the educational system;

-          providing support and assistance in sacral building and protection of cultural heritage of churches;

-          providing assistance in the protection of the legal and social status of churches and religious communities, exercising of their rights determined by law, regulation and improvement of the social and financial status of religious workers (clergy, religious servants,  pupils and students of religious schools).

For performing tasks within the purview of the Administration, the following internal units shall be established:

            1. Sector for the Improvement of Status of Churches and Religious Communities and International Cooperation;

            2. Sector for Legal, Financial and General Affairs

In the Sector for the Improvement of Status of Churches and Religious Communities and International Cooperation, a narrower internal unit: Department for the Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities shall be established.

In the Sector for Legal Financial and General Affairs, the following narrower internal units shall be established:

            1. Legal and General Affairs Group;

            2. Finance and Accounting Group
