The “Turn off violence” campaign by the Ministry of Justice was awarded the PRiZNANJE award at the ceremony for awarding the Annual Prize of the Serbian Public Relations Association, in the category Communication in Public Administration.

The goal of the “Turn off violence”campaign was introducing the general and professional public to the new measures brought forth by the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, starting implementation on 1 June 2017.  The starting point for the “Turn off violence” campaign was informing all citizens on new legal solutions, as well as raising awareness on the need to report violence.

With the implementation of the campaign the Ministry of Justice wanted to stimulate actual and potential victims of domestic violence to report violence, but also to send the perpetrators a clear message that no form of violence will be tolerated and that state bodies now have specific mechanisms to combat domestic violence.

The decision on the winners of the annual PRiZNANJE award for 2018 was made by a professional jury, comprised of renowned professionals, distinguished individuals, representatives of companies, agencies and universities, with years of experience in the field of communications and public relations.

The Annual Award of the Serbian Association for Public Relations (DSOJ) is an award issued for the promotion of professional role models in the field of communications and public relations, and notes distinguished cases of moving the limits of theory and practice in public relations with the ultimate goal of reaching the highest standards and level of development in this profession.
